Sea Cucumber Farm
This project seeks to bring life to coastal communities through innovation, sustainability, partnerships and joy in mariculture. It seeks to assist communities of traditional fishermen to successfully farm seafood products. Based in an island province with hundreds of small island communities, the business brings economic development through providing new revenue sources as well as working to see communities become healthier, happier, and more productive.
Bugkalot Coffee
Deep within the rural communities of the Philippines, live some of the poorest of the country. The communities covered under this project are rural tribal communities (called Barangays) situated in remote mountain areas within the municipality of Dupax del Sur, in the province of Nueva Vizcaya. Within Dupax del Sur, Abaca & Talbek (the Bugkalot barangays) are some of the poorest barangays, given their remote location, low education level, lack of infrastructure, and low economic activity.
FatherLand Ethno-Tourism
FatherLand is an ethno-tourism showcase project to help develop attractive and sustainable tourism experiences through “Yurt Conversion'' trailer kits that offer at least four ecologically-safe toilet options. They will be available to the community at zero investment through “lease to own” or grants to local families in appropriate locations. Additionally, they will demonstrate inclusive practices with 100% of non-reinvested earnings going to the local service providers and to show that ecotourism can be an attraction instead of a financial burden.
